October in the Highlands of Scotland, what an excellent place to be!! With the stunning Moray Firth right on our doorstep and the Cairngorms and Monadhliaths just a stones throw away who know what will turn up where or when, so as a new venture for 2016 we have decided to make October “Migration Watch Month.”

This will be a very free flowing and  exciting weekend of birding, going to where the birds are,  King Eider, Pectoral Sandpiper, White Rumped Sandpiper, Cranes, Yellow Browed Warbler, have all been reported in the Moray and Highlands at this time of year and who knows what we may find ourselves on our travels!
